Cookie policy

Short version: the only thing we store by default is your theme choice and, if you vote on an article, the fact that you did. Analytics and marketing stay switched off until you turn them on, and dismissing the banner does not turn them on.
The three categories
Your light/dark preference and your article votes, both kept in your own browser. Nothing is sent to us, and none of it identifies you.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint you — so this category may end up unused entirely. It stays in the banner so that if we ever add anything that does set a cookie, you have already been asked.
Affiliate click tracking and any future social pixel. Nothing in this category loads unless you opt in.
Changing your mind
Clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit, with everything back to its default state.
What we never do
We do not set advertising cookies, we do not sell your data, and we do not load a third-party script before you have agreed to it.
